Big thanks to all who joined in and participated in our Northwoods Match Play event this season!  Special congratulations to the 2021 Champion, Chris Coons!

And here’s the finalized bracket with complete results of all the matches:

We hope everybody had a great time, and we look forward to running the Challenge again next season!

Contact the Pro Shop for more information or to sign up!  The event will take place weather-permitting.

Hayward Golf Club’s biggest tradition continues in 2022, and it’s time to offer up the first details about next summer’s Hayward Open Golf Tournament! The event will take place over the first weekend of June: Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th.

The cost per golfer is $100 for this 45-hole event (reduced Passholder entry of $80). There is an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Saturday, followed by 27 holes on Sunday, with your Saturday score determining if you are in the stroke play or match play brackets. There will be an optional practice round with a giant skins game on Friday, June 3rd, as well as an optional dinner and Calcutta in the Caddyshak on Saturday night.

The sign-up for the tournament will open on Halloween — Sunday, October 31st, 2021 — at 8:00am. Sign-ups will be accepted via email (proshop@haywardgolf.com) or phone call (715-634-2760) at that time. We cap the size of the field at 160, and the spots will go fast!

The Hayward Open is easily one of the most exciting events of our season, and we anticipate the 2022 edition will be no exception. Congratulations again to multi-year defending champion Jack Gustafson, and take a look at these highlights from this year’s tournament!

The autumn forecast is looking promising for the near future, and with the course still in fabulous shape, now is an excellent time to maximize the remainder of the season and get some more golf in! Fall rates have begun, so book a time now to enjoy the most scenic rounds of the year with the backdrop of beautiful color as the leaves change.

To reserve a tee time, book HERE or call the Pro Shop at (715) 634-2760!

Also, we wanted to let everybody know that the Caddyshak kitchen will be closing down for the season on Sunday, October 10th. The bar will remain open for a variety of beverages, and brats, hot dogs, scones, cookies, chips, and assorted candy will still be available for purchase.

Thanks to all who participated in our Joe Kuta Senior Tournament and helped us add another chapter to this event’s storied legacy. We hope everybody had a terrific day of golf!

Additionally, congratulations to the winners!
