The HGC clubhouse will be taking extra precautions these next several days after a part-time staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Effective as of 1pm today, we are operating contact-free at the Pro Shop and Caddyshak, with all indoor facilities closed (with the exception of the bathrooms, which will still be accessible).

As we await further test results from other employees — who are being tested out of an abundance of caution, as exposure to the positive staff member has been limited over the last two weeks — hopefully by the end of this week, we will be functioning much as we did in the spring, asking for members and guests to check-in with the Pro Shop by phone (or by stopping at the Pro Shop window), and also to conduct any monetary transactions over the phone as much as possible, as well.

To make this process as quick and efficient as possible, we offer the ability for members and guests to put a credit card on file with us, or to establish an AR account. During the indoor closure, the interior clubhouse areas will be extensively cleaned. Also, the Caddyshak Bar & Grill will offer service exclusively outside on our patio area.

We ask that customers and members work with us and be patient during this time as we operate under some very unusual circumstances. We fully expect the quality of the product on the golf course itself to remain very high!

We’re committed to making sure that Hayward Golf Club is a safe place for guests, members, and staff, and this remains our top priority. We will continue to keep everyone up-to-speed as the situation develops.

Lastly, the Hayward Civic Club’s Annual Meeting will still be taking place tonight, outside on the Caddyshak patio, and intended to be very brief. A vote on new By-Laws will be taking place, as well as the finalizing of the Board of Directors election.
